About LUCENT LIFE

'LUCENT LIFE' is designed by Yuki Hemmi who is a Dyer and Dressmaker.
Her artworks are created by Japanese traditional dyeing methods called Yuzen-zome, Roketsu-zome, and her original dyeing way.
She dyes mainly silk , designs and sews as clothes, stoles, etc.
She has majored in global economics at university and visited 24 countries around the five continents.
She has participated in fundraising activities especially for NGO 'Room to Read', has reached 10 million children with quality education.
She hope to contribute to the world through her creative activities.
Her theme of Art is 'LUCENT LIFE'.
She wishes her Art bring light to the people who keep her artworks, their precious people around them, and the future of our world.
Room to Read
'LUCENT LIFE' は、染色と縫製により、Yuki Hemmiが制作をしています。
作品は主にシルク地を用いており、日本の伝統的な染色技法である、ろうけつ染め、友禅染め、独自の方法を交えて染め、衣服やストールとして仕立てています。
大学では、グローバルビジネス・コースを専攻し、5つの大陸・24か国を訪れました。
世界中の1,000万人の子ども達へ教育機会を届けた、国際NGO 'Room to Read'など、多くのファウンドレイジング活動へ参加をしています。
創作を通して、社会貢献活動へ寄与していきたいと考えております。
創作のテーマである 'LUCENT LIFE'は、“光り輝く命”という意味です。
作品をお持ちいただく方の命、その人の周りの人たちの人生、そして世界が光り輝きますようにと、願いを込めています。
